“Focusing on one thing at a time has power to produce incredible result” says Anu Kumari (AIR 2; CSE 2017)

A Physics Honours graduate from Hindu College, Delhi, and an MBA from IMT Nagpur, mother of 4-yr-old child, Anu Kumari, from Sonipat (Haryana) has got 2nd rank in Civil Services Examination 2017.

She had worked with companies like ICICI Prudential, Religare Health and Aviva Life Insurance before she decided to appear in Civil Services Examination.

She achieved this splendid success in her second attempt with Sociology as optional subject.

Civil Services Examination 2014: Top 10 Optional Subjects with highest number of candidates recommended

A glance at the data emerging from 66th Annual Report of UPSC clearly indicates the top 10 optional subjects that helped candidates to crack this examination.

The list has all popular names that occupied the top 10 list except Economics that has given way to Psychology that has made a comeback in this list.

Shailesh Kumar, B. Tech. (Mechanical Engineering from HBTI, Kanpur 2009) has secured 41st Rank in Civil Services Examination 2015.

It was his third attempt that got his the desired post. Earlier, in both occasions, Shailesh cleared the examination; CSE 2013 he got 808th rank that got him Indian Revenue Services (C&CE) and in CSE 2014 he got 854th Rank.

In all these attempts, Shailesh has kept Sociology as optional subject.
