For becoming IAS, Persistence paid off as Sumit Kumar Rai (AIR 54; CSE 2018) accomplished his Goal in 5th attempt

A Gold medalist for the best academic performance at IIT-ISM, Dhanbad Sumit Kumar Rai began his career with Cairn India Limited; but, very early in life he had set his career destination as Indian Administrative Service (IAS).

As such it is a grueling exam-plan and preparing while working is more challenging. However, Sumit kept moving on the path and hope of big rewards motivated him to stick to it and finally, in his fifth attempt he cracked CSE 2018 and secured 54th rank.

He has chosen Public Administration as optional subject.

Suraj Patel , B.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering) from Moti Lal Nehru National institute of Technology, Allahabad, joined Pepsico India after completing graduation in 2013. After almost two years of service, he left job to seriously prepare for Civil Services Examination.

In all the three encounters, Suraj cracked Civil Services Examination and gradually improved ranking as well as post from IRS to IPs and now, with Civil Services Examination 2017 he is getting IAS.

He has chosen Anthropology as Optional Subject.

24 years old Yashraj Nain from Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan has secured 272nd rank in Civil Services Examination 2017 in his very first attempt.

Yashraj graduated (Economics and Political Science) from Hindu College, Delhi and did Masters in Politics with specialization in International studies from the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.

He had chosen Political Science and International Relations (PSIR) as his optional subject.

When this attitude got prop up from genuine hard work, he accomplished the goal he had set for himself and found a place among top 20 in civil Services Examination 2017.

Abhijeet has chosen Economics as his Optional Subject.

“Keep your sources limited and focus on revision more”; says Mayank Verma (AIR 851; CSE 2017)

On Tuesday 24th July 2018  

Mayank Verma, after completing B.E. (Instrumentation and control Engineering) from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, Delhi in 2016 took his first attempt and achieved success in Civil Services Examination 2017.

Although he is still little away from his target – Post of ‘IAS’ this success will give him the boost he needs to crack it again with high ranks in next attempt.
