After completing B.Tech (Materials and Metallurgical Engineering) from IIT, Kanpur in 2013, Sumit Kumar joined consultancy firm Price Waterhouse Coopers.

As he had set his target to be in Civil Services, he left job and commenced serious preparation in 2015. Though, he fumbled at first stage Prelims in his first attempt; but, soon he got touch and succeeded in his second attempt with at a lower rank.  Finally, in his third attempt he posted a brilliant success by securing 53rd rank in CSE 2018.

He had chosen Anthropology as optional subject.

Akshay picked up his battle smartly and gave it all to crack it in his first attempt and secured 43rd rank.

He also got selected in Indian Economic Service Examination 2018 (AIR 4).

He has gone ahead with his own subject Economics as optional subject.

After completing B. Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology, Patna in Electrical Engineering, Utsav got placement in Indian Oil Corporation Limited and joined as Electrical Engineer at Mathura Refinery in 2013. However, to become IAS was his dream as well as his parent’s desire.

Utsav’s whole preparation has been product of hit and trial methods. He learned a lot from mistakes that he made in ample amount during the course of his preparation.

Ultimately, in his fourth attempt he achieved this splendid success.

On Sunday 30th December 2018  

For Abhijeet Sinha, an Electrical Engineer from IIT Kanpur, first attempt in CSE 2016 had not gone well. Still, he wished and hoped to see at least his name in the merit-list. Not to find his name was a heart- wrenching experience, perhaps because it was the 1st major failure of his life.

But, he did not drown himself in the misery; rather, picked up and set to discover the weaknesses and tackle them head on. Equally importantly, he realised that there is no substitute to Hard Work, a factor that was missing in first attempt.

This way his failure became the foundation of success in his second attempt as he secured 19th Rank in Civil Services Examination 2017.

Abhijeet has chosen Economics as his Optional Subject.

Interview Transcript - Saurabh Jassal, IAS (Civil Services Examination 2017)

Saurabh Jassal (404th Rank, CSE 2017),acomputer engineer from NSIT New Delhi had picked up Law as optional subject.

His Interview was on 3rd April 2nd half of the day. His Interview Board was that of Sujata Mehta Ma’am.

Interview went good, and most of the questions were on expected lines, it lasted for nearly 27 minutes.
