The major role Interview marks play in final result is evident from many instances where it has made or broken the dreams of many.
The marks distribution among successful candidates in Civil Services Examination 2012 has been in a wide range – between 90-245 marks.
Anupama James (AIR 159) has secured the highest 245 marks in Interview while Sawni Dikshit (AIR 273) has secured 243 marks.
As many as eight candidates have secured 240 marks that includes Ajit (AIR 26), Srijana G (AIR 44), Adwait K Singh (AIR 92), Sagili Shan Mohan (AIR 132), Anil Sasidharan (AIR 284), Dhruv Dahiya (AIR 384), Yogeesh Mishra AIR 405) and Hemant Kumar (AIR 568).
There are many candidates with 200+ marks in interview; it used to be identical on earlier occasions but, the CSE 2012 result has witnessed the enhanced role of Interview marks in candidate’s success.
Another interesting observation is that Haritha has got 180 marks in Personality Test while in past years, score of 200+ is common among those who topped this coveted examination in recent years.
Look at the marks of Bhapkar Snehal Purushottam who is at the bottom of the merit-list who could secure only 592 marks in Main Examination written (out of 2000 marks) and went on to get 210 marks (out of 300) that helped his got a place in the merit-list.
Bhapkar is not alone, even Chanchal Kumar Tiwari (AIR 997) also had similar story as he scored 590 marks in Main (Written) and contribution from his Interview marks – 213 marks got him a place in the merit-list.
