Industrial growth declines; stands at 7.1% for June 2010

The Index of Industrial Production (IIP) has shown a sharp decline in second straight month and hit a 13-month low of 7.1 per cent in June 2010.

It stood at 11.34 per cent in previous month May 2010 and was 8.32 per cent a year back in June 2009.

In April 2010, it posted a figure of 16.5 per cent. IIP numbers were constantly in double digit from October 2009 to May 2010.
