Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced result for Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2018 on 20th December 2018 and the Interviews would commence from 4th February 2019.
To fill 780 vacancies notified, 1994 candidates would be trying their luck with this final stage of examination process.
The result of Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2018 held from 28th September to 7th October, 2018 has been declared by the Union Public Service Commission on 20th December 2018.
The first stage, Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2018 was staged by the Union Public Service Commission on 3rd June 2018. The Prelims result was declared on 14th July 2018.
This year 1994 candidates have been declared successful who have qualified for Personality Test for selection to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and other Central Services (Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’).
The total vacancies notified this year are 780. This number has seen gradual decline in last 5 years.
Personality Test (Interview) of these candidates is likely to commence from 4th February, 2019. Last year, Personality Test (Interview) sessions for CSE 2017 had stared from 19th February 2018.
Personality Tests will be held in the Office of the Union Public Service Commission at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069.
The e-Summon Letter of Personality Test of candidates being called for Interview may be downloaded from the Commission’s Website from January 8, 2019.
All the candidates, who qualify for Personality Test (Interview) on the basis of Result of Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2018, will be required to submit their Order of Preferences for Zone(s)/State(s) Cadre (for IAS/IPS0). Addendum to DAF will be made available on the Commission’s website from December 21 2018 to January 3 2019.
