Marks of the successful candidates in Civil Services Examination 2017 released

What more one can expect; in recent years UPSC definitely has become more transparent.  After releasing Cut-off marks, now within a week after result announcement, the marks of the successful candidates have been revealed.


UPSC has announced the marks of all the successful candidates in Civil Services Examination 2017. 1st rank Durishetty Anudeep has secured 1126 marks out of total 2025 marks to emerge on top.

There is a difference of only 49 marks between ranks 1st and 25th; that goes on to show how keenly contested Civil Services Examination 2017 had been.

If you compare it with CSE 2015 result, there was a difference of 45 marks between Rank 1 Tina Dabi and Rank 2 Athar Aamir. If we go a little back, the difference in marks at top had been huge in CSE 2012 and there was 128 marks difference in 1st and 25th rank candidate. Now, this has been reduced to just 49 marks.

Although, the details of marks is incomplete as it is difficult to make out marks secured by candidates in each paper Essay, General Studies, Optional Subject 1 and Optional Subject 2. Only the total marks secured in Main Examination (Written) is revealed.

However, many a successful candidates share their marks details that help future candidates to get clear cut idea about the requirements with their performance.
