Success in Civil Services Examination is never easy; but, if you are capable and committed, it is with in your reach. One such youngster from a remote area in Kashmir Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan has achieved a brilliant success in Civil Services Examination 2015 and grabbed 2nd rank.
23rd years old, Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan from Anantnag District in Kashmir has grabbed second rank in Civil Services Examination 2015.
This was his second attempt that got him the desired result. In the previous attempt also he cracked this examination; but, got a lower rank (AIR 560, CSE 2014) that got him Indian Railway Traffic Services (IRTS).
He has achieved this success with Philosophy as optional subject.
Sharing these proud moments Athar Said, “For every educated youth in the valley, Shah Faesal (AIR 1; CSE 2009) is a role model and for me as well he was my inspiration. I have also given my state Jammu & Kashmir as first preference and would be glad if I am able to serve my people.”
He got valuable advice from Shah Faesal that helped in improving his performance.
He got inspiration from his grandfather and inherited traits like passion and hard work that proved to be of great help in cracking this examination twice in successive attempts.
Athar planned his foray into Civil Services Examination after completing B Tech from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi (HP).
Sharing his views about how he designed the path to success Athar said. “I got many offers from corporate groups and a brilliant future was in making. But, money was not that I preferred; my professional aspirations are different.”
“My aim was IAS and I was keen to appear in examination as soon as I become eligible.”
He said, “I gained a clear sense of the direction my endeavor is going in. With success in first attempt at an age of 22 years, I knew I have found my path. In this attempt, it was just focus and better execution that helped in gaining an edge.”
