For success in Civil Services Examination if you have a strong desire and then, you have family members to support you, the pressure is off as you commence preparation. With success of my brother Ajay Pal Sharma (IPS) it became easier for me to plan for Civil Services Examination preparation and motivation from my father and my brother helped me sail through.
Ludhiana lad, Dr. Amitpal Sharma has secured 17th rank in Civil Services Examination to fulfill his dream to be in coveted Indian Administrative Service.
This was his third successive success in Civil Services Examination that got him the desired post.
After completing MBBS from Government Medical College, Patiala in 2013, Amit took his first attempt in CSE 2013 and got 630th rank (IRTS).
In next attempt, he found his name at 139th place that got him Indian Police Service and now, in third attempt Amit accomplished the goal in style.
Sharing his success-story Amit Pal said, “My parents wish was that I should become doctor and I satisfied their desire. The inspiration for appearing in Civil Services Examination came from my elder brother Ajay Pal Sharma, an IPS officer currently posted as SSP Hathras (UP).”
“Since childhood I was bearing an image of IAS in mind and once my brother cracked Civil Services Examination, my career dream became crystal clear."
"I was so much passionate that I planned to appear in CSE 2013 when I was doing my internship” he added.
His father, Amarjit Pal Sharma is a retired Punjabi professor and his guidance proved to be valuable in preparing optional subject Literature of Punjabi Language.
Talking about this attempt, Amit Pal said, “It was not easy as I am undergoing training at IPS academy, Hyderabad. However, my earlier attempts were learning experience and with introspection, I would identify areas that needed attention."
When asked about secret of success, Amit Pal said, "Discipline in study-plan and time-management really helped me in managing my preparation effectively.”
