IAS Interview: How much I can score in my Personality Test

Be it Preliminary or Main Examination, many candidates look out for cut-off to make own strategy while preparing for Civil Service Examination. Likewise, many candidates are eager to know how candidates perform in Interview and how much is the reward.

Suitability of a candidate for the administrative post is evaluated at the third and final stage of examination. It is make or break kind of stage where your attitude determines your fate.

In recent years, as the written cut-off has gone down drastically, candidates’ performance in Interview has proved to be saviour and helped many to find place in merit-list.

Even, results of some of the top-most ranks have been positively influenced by their scintillating Interview performance for that they have been adequately rewarded with high marks.

Candidates score anything between approx. 50-240 marks out of 275 which determines your final place in the merit-list.

Candidates generally score 160-175 marks with acceptable preparation. But, score of 225+ is not ruled out if you are able to communicate effectively in front of the interview board.

A bad show can get you 50-60 marks also when they fail to spot qualities they are looking in you as future Civil Servant.
