After a gap of three years, in Civil Services Examination 2013 top most rank has gone to a male candidate Gaurav Agarwal. Dr. Bharti Dixit (AIR 5, CSE 2013) is the topper among female candidates.
In all 1122 candidates have found place in the merit-list. 861 male and 261 female candidates have been recommended for selection for various central services that include Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Revenue Service (IRS) etc.
Gaurav Agarwal from Jaipur, has topped the Civil Services Examination 2013.
He has graduated with B.Tech. (Computer Science) degree from IIT, Kanpur and pursued PGDM from IIM, Lucknow. This success has come in his second attempt. With his success in earlier attempt, he got Indian Police Service (AIR 244, Cse 2012) and has been under probation (undergoing training at National Police Academy, Hyderabad).
Gaurav has achieved this success with Economics as his optional subject.
Munish Sharma (AIR 2, CSE 2013) graduated with degree in B.Sc. (Biochemistry) from Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi University has secured second rank.
This was his second attempt. In first attempt, he faced interview but, with adverse outcome.
Munish had Law as optional subject
Third rank has gone to Rachit Raj (AIR 3, CSE 2013) from Delhi.He achieved success in his first attempt.
Rachit has done B.Tech from VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology) and had Zoology as optional subject.
Bharti Dixit (AIR 5, CSE 2013) is the topper among female candidates. She has done MBBS from LHMC, New Delhi.
