Relentless efforts of a section of Civil Services Examination aspirants ultimately bear fruits. Upset with the recent changes introduced by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in pattern of Civil Services Examination, lots of candidates were demanding for relaxation in number of attempts and age so that they can adapt to the radical changes introduced in new format for Main Examination.
Aggressive campaigning resulted in this big news that would surely give big respite to a wide gamut of candidates as they will get two more attempts to try their luck.
The Department of Personnel and Training has put on its website this update regarding the relaxation of number of attempts for all candidates aspiring for Civil Services Examination that the Central Government has approved “two additional attempts to all categories of candidates w.e.f. Civil Services Examination 2014, with consequential age relaxation of maximum age for all categories of candidates, if required.”
As per the schedule, the notification for Civil Services Examination 2014 is expected on May 17, 2014 and Preliminary Examination is to be staged on August 24, 2014.Last Update Saturday 22nd February 2014
