While preparing for Civil Services Examination, an individual aspirant initially thinks that he ought to know each and everything and that also in a very detailed manner.
But slowly the doubts get cleared and one knows that what is needed to cover the significant topics and subjects and that also in an analytical manner.
Also, the perspective to read or study a subject becomes different as one is more concerned with the policy issues, mass effect, common view and social values instead of technical intricacies or such things.
Another important point is that one has to develop a habit of thinking with balance on any issue and arguments have to be produced in favour or against whatever stand point one adopts.
