This is something unique about this examination as every year many fresher show brilliant performance and achieve success in very first attempt while many with higher degree consume their 4 attempts to face the negative outcome each time.
This examination is really difficult for those who don’t understand the intricacies involved here and is manageable for the serious candidates who give heed to these finer points.
Nitika Pawar (AIR 18, CSE 2011) is an inspiration for many candidate and show direction how one can crack this perceived to be the toughest examination in the very first attempt.
Around the time when new format of Preliminary Examination was made known in October 2010, Nitika had only dream to be an IAS officer and was looking around for information relating to the examination.
A casual approach towards this led her to a ‘Seminar’ organized in a coaching institute which was at stone throw distance from her residence in Rohini, New Delhi. And that ‘Seminar’ worked wonders and impressed her a lot and when she came back home, she discussed with her father about the exam and the optional subject combination suggested by the teachers there – Political Science & International Relations and Law.
Being an Engineer, both these subjects were new to her. Still, she could understand the overlap these had with each other as well as paper and she knew, she has found the right path that will take her to the destination.
It requires a great amount of effort and maximum absorption of relevant knowledge and if you are able to follow the right advice, it is not impossible to crack Civil Services Examination in very first attempt.Last Update Thursday 17th May 2012
