Literature of Telugu Language as a Popular Optional Subject

In recent years, the literatures of Indian languages have come into limelight as some wonderful results were produced with these. Candidates have realized that these are easier to prepare and found them manageable in short span of time. Literature of Telugu Language is one of the promising optional subjects and is among popular optional subjects candidates pick as second optional.

The popularity of Literature of Telugu Language as an optional subject has been constant in recent years and it is one of the popular optional subject candidates pick for Mains Examination.

In Civil Services (Main) Examination 2008, 147 candidates appeared in Main Examination with Literature of Telugu Language as one optional subject.

In Civil Services (Main) Examination 2009 a drop in number of candidates was witnessed as only 134 candidates appeared in examination with Literature of Telugu Language as one optional subject.

With Literature of Telugu Language as an Optional Subject, 9 candidates were recommended for selection in CSE 2008.

Success-rate:

In CSE 2008, the success-rate of Literature of Telugu Language stood at 6.1%.
