Hailing from Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, Sparsh Gupta, L.L.B. from National Law School of India University, Bangalore, Karnataka has accomplished his goal by achieving success in Civil Services Examination 2018.

Since childhood, Sparsh had low vision problem that kept on deteriorating gradually; but, he has imagined something big in life and to achieve that he kept on making sincere efforts.

He commenced his professional life with Law firm Luthra & Luthra Offices in Delhi and the time results were out, Sparsh was working as Assistant Legal Advisor with ONGC, Western Onshore Basin, Vadodara (Gujarat).

Success in first attempt is common; when others do it often, why can’t I?

With such an idea about his endeavor and chances of success Patil Yogesh Ashokrao commenced preparation for Civil Services Examination 2018 and hit the target in first attempt.

With a well planned strategy he chose his Optional Subject sensibly and picked up Anthropology keeping in mind his interest in the subject, books and study-material in abundance and quality guidance available.

A Chartered Accountant and MBA; talented Saurabh Kumar Bhuwania showed courage to appear in Civil Services Examination at age of 30 and realized his dream of making a career in ‘Civil Services’.

In his second attempt Saurabh achieved splendid success and secured AIR 113 in Civil Services Examination 2018

His Optional Subject was Commerce & Accountancy, his own subject.

On Wednesday 24th July 2019  

For Karnati Varunreddy (AIR 7; CSE 2018), it has been a gradual move toward dream career that took 5 attempts to reach destination - Indian Administrative Service.

After choosing Geography as optional subject for initial two attempts and failing; in third attempt as needed Varun’s plans took a detour as he finally showed faith in his own subject Mathematics that helped him succeed (AIR 166; CSE 2016) that got him IRS (IT).

Though he succeeded in fourth attempt also (AIR 225; CSE 2017); but, this 5th attempt finally got him 7th rank in CSE 2018.

An Economics graduate from Delhi College of Arts & Commerce (University of Delhi) Shubham Gupta commenced preparation for Civil Services Examination in 2015 and his second attempt helped him crack CSE 2016 and Rank 366 got him Indian Audit and Accounts Service.

In this fourth attempt Shubham has accomplished his goal and has achieved 6th rank that ensures post of IAS.

On Tuesday 6th August 2019  

The topper among women in Civil Services Examination 2018 is Srushti Jayant Deshmukh and she has secured 5th Rank. It was her first attempt.

A well-planned strategy and execution to the precision helped Srushti to crack it in the first encounter itself.  In CSE 2018, she has scored the highest marks in General Studies score that goes on to indicate her level of preparedness.

Srushti had shown faith in Sociology that she chose as Optional Subject.

With a strong academic background Md Jawed Hussain had dreams to make something big. He got his first job through UPSC ESE and was in services since 2013.

As a career progression, he was confident of making it in to ‘Civil Services’ but, setbacks followed him one after another and ultimately in his fifth attempt, he accomplished his goal by securing 280th rank in Civil Services Examination 2018.

He had shown faith in his own subject Electrical Engineering by choosing it as Optional Subject.

25 years old Veer Pratap Singh from Dalpatpur village, District Bulandshahr (UP) has fulfilled the dreams of his family by achieving a brilliant success in Civil Services Examination 2018 and has secured 92nd rank in the merit-list.

It was his third successive Main Examination appearance and finally with CSE 2018, Veer Pratap tasted the sweetness of success.

After completing B.Tech (Materials and Metallurgical Engineering) from IIT, Kanpur in 2013, Sumit Kumar joined consultancy firm Price Waterhouse Coopers.

As he had set his target to be in Civil Services, he left job and commenced serious preparation in 2015. Though, he fumbled at first stage Prelims in his first attempt; but, soon he got touch and succeeded in his second attempt with at a lower rank.  Finally, in his third attempt he posted a brilliant success by securing 53rd rank in CSE 2018.

He had chosen Anthropology as optional subject.

For becoming IAS, Persistence paid off as Sumit Kumar Rai (AIR 54; CSE 2018) accomplished his Goal in 5th attempt

A Gold medalist for the best academic performance at IIT-ISM, Dhanbad Sumit Kumar Rai began his career with Cairn India Limited; but, very early in life he had set his career destination as Indian Administrative Service (IAS).

As such it is a grueling exam-plan and preparing while working is more challenging. However, Sumit kept moving on the path and hope of big rewards motivated him to stick to it and finally, in his fifth attempt he cracked CSE 2018 and secured 54th rank.

He has chosen Public Administration as optional subject.

When it came to choosing career for Gunjan Dwivedi (AIR 9; CSE 2018), the inspiration came from her father who is a retired IPS officer. He has been her childhood role model.

This success came in her third attempt as she couldn’t find the right strategy in her first two attempts. This time valuable advice came from one of her friends who helped her with planning for Preliminary Examination and after that she didn’t look back. This helped her accomplish the task as she secured 9th rank in Civil Services Examination 2018.

Her optional Subject was Political science and international relations.
